    The City of Concord is seeking a Systems and Programming Manager (GIS Program) to fill one vacancy in the Information Technology Department to lead all aspects of the City's growing GIS Program.     2.     5. Confers with departments to determine system functions and desired results; analyzes departments' system and program problems and changes in requirements; identifies and recommends modifications.
    6. Develops, interprets, and implements policies, procedures, and division directives; informs and trains users regarding the features, functions, and capabilities of programs and reports.
    7. Oversees a technical support station, which receives, logs, and responds to service, maintenance, and/or assistance requests regarding programs, reports, or computer systems.
    8. Supports the preparation of RFP packages for systems analysis and programming, and related equipment, devices, and services; negotiates and administers contracts; coordinates maintenance and repairs; reconciles and approves invoices for payment.
    9. Attends a variety of meetings; conducts special projects.

    Knowledge and Abilities

    Airware's end-to-end platform for integrating drones into everyday business workflows has given us the unique opportunity to use previously uncollectable aerial data to transform industries like insurance, quarrying, mining, and construction. Our Data Science group is looking for a new teammate who will be responsible for designing algorithms and building software that turns drone data into business outcomes for enterprise customers. In this role you will drive the full lifecycle of data products, identifying data challenges in collaboration with product managers and customer-facing teams, ideating and prototyping new solutions, iterating on machine learning models to improve accuracy and efficiency, and deploying those models to production in the Airware Cloud.     Sample Projects:

    Skills and Experience:
    • Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning

    Job Overview

    Major Duties: 

    This position will support the maintenance of the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks Geographic Information System. There are two primary focuses of this position. First, migrate the parks' sequoia tree inventory from a Microsoft Access database to a geodatabase and publish the data through ArcGIS Online. Second, assist the Fire GIS Specialist with fire mapping and data for both of the parks' prescribed and wildland fire programs. 

    Primary duties include using Esri ArcGIS software to manage spatial data & create maps (digital & in print); manipulating tabular databases using Microsoft Access and SQL Server; using tabular and spatial statistics to analyze data; create web maps using ArcGIS Online, and using GPS equipment to collect data on park assets and resources.
